Learn how to make Special Upvas Snack - 'आलू चिवडा - Aloo Chivda' with our chef Seema Gadh.<br /><br />Aloo Chivda is also called as Farali Chivda, Aloo lachha, Potato Chivda, Aloo Namkeen. It is a special Upvas recipe, that can be eaten as a snack during a fasting period. <br /><br />Ingredients:<br />(Serves 2)<br />- 4 Potatoes<br />- Oil<br />- 1/2 cup Peanuts <br />- Curry Leaves <br />- Green Chillies(chopped)<br />- Rock Salt<br />- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Powder <br /><br />Method:<br />1. Peel potatoes and put it in water <br />2. Heat oil a wok, and start grating the potatoes<br />3. After grating, start squeezing the grated potatoes and remove them in a towel<br />4. Soak these grated potatoes with the towel and remove them in a bowl <br />5. Now, on a medium flame, fry these potatoes and once the foam comes down, steer these strips<br />6. Let them fry till they turn golden brown in color, and then, remove it on a plate <br />7. Now, in the same bowl fry peanuts, and take it out on a plate<br />8. Then, Fry curry leaves, green chillies and remove them on a plate <br />9. Now remove fried strips in a bowl, and add fried peanuts, green chillies and curry leaves to it<br />10. Add rock salt, black pepper powder; mix it and serve it
